Casey Murray - Banjo

Born and raised in Spring Garden, Alabama, Casey fell in love with music at an early age watching his dad and his friends get together and play. Casey decided that the banjo was what he wanted to learn and at the age of six started playing. He has played with the Alabama based Bent Creek since he was 10 years old. He, wife Brittany, and son Briley reside in Piedmont, Alabama today. His musical influences are JD Crowe, Steve Dilling, and Ron Stewart. In his spare time he enjoys spending time with family and friends and fishing.

"When I moved to Alabama 8 years ago, goal # 1 was to find a really banjo man; here he is!  Casey is such a powerhouse on the 5 and I really get inspired every time I play with him!  He's one of the best!
