Shannon Slaughter – guitar, lead and tenor vocal / Heather Slaughter – bass / Lou Reid – high baritone vocal / Ron Stewart – fiddles / Ron Inscore – mandolin / Rob Ickes – dobro. I’ve always been a big fan of traditional country music and this song fits that bill. I heard the Osborne Brothers do this on their box set and loved it. I then sought out some old versions sung by George Jones and knew I had to do this song. It’s obscure but I hope it pays tribute to the way country music should be. Haggard, Jones, Whitley, Hank Jr., Watson, Street, Paycheck, Waylon, Willie, Conway, Buck and Don – that’s country to me!!! Ron’s twin fiddles and Rob’s dobro were outstanding on this tune!!
